Is Priority Disembarkation Worth It on Brittany Ferries? (With vs Without)

When you’re on a long ferry crossing, especially one that lasts over 20 hours, the last thing you want is to sit waiting to get off.

So when booking our ferry with Brittany Ferries, we added priority disembarkation on the outward journey.

We were travelling lots with long drives on a road trip across Spain and Portugal, so thought it would be nice to get off quickly and crack on with our first long drive.

On the way home we decided not to pay extra for the priority disembarkation as we didn’t have such a long drive and thought we’d just save the money, as we were heading home anyway by this point.

But did we make the right choice?

Brittany Ferries Pont-Aven Cabin Review: Commodore Suite vs Deluxe Cabin

We recently travelled on the Pont-Aven overnight ferry with Brittany Ferries from Plymouth to Santander and decided to try two of the higher-end cabins, one for each leg of the journey.

A Commodore suite on the way out, and a 4-berth deluxe cabin on the way back.

Here’s how they compare, and whether paying extra is actually worth it.

Rhodes Toy Museum Review (& Retro Arcade!)

On the final day of our family holiday to Rhodes, we found ourselves in that strange travel-day limbo. Bags packed, villa checked out, but hours left before our evening flight. We didn’t want the beach. We didn’t want to get wet or sandy. Everything was packed! We just needed something fun for the kids to pass the time before airports, queues and sitting still took over.

Ben had spotted something unusual on the map a few days earlier. A toy museum. In the middle of the mountains!

Pixel Pop Newquay Review & Photos

We recently visited Pixel Pop in Newquay for a unique interactive gaming experience using a real pixelated floor and wall. It’s a new tech adventure in Newquay, and we booked it for the kids as soon as we saw it online because it looked like so much fun.

So what is Pixel Pop really like? And is it worth visiting?

In my Pixel Pop review, I’ll share everything about our visit, including how it works, what to expect, our honest thoughts, photos, and a short video showing the experience in action. I’ll also embed some of Pixel Pop’s own posts so you can get a feel for the games and atmosphere.

If you’re thinking about booking, hopefully this helps.

T-Veg Review: Vegan Lunch & Dinner With Rooftop Lindos Views

When we first planned to revisit Rhodes, I already knew I wanted to spend more time in Lindos. Not only to wander its maze of whitewashed streets and soak up the views, but also to find somewhere we could all enjoy eating together as a vegan family.

That’s how we discovered T-Veg – an entirely vegan restaurant right in the heart of Lindos, serving everything from plant-based Greek classics to smoothie bowls and pastas.

It quickly became one of our favourite places on the island. So much so that we went twice – once for lunch in the sunshine, and again for dinner under the glow of the Acropolis.

Read on for my T-Veg review, full of delicious suggestions and photos of our food and the amazing Lindos rooftop views!
