Summercourt Fair Fireworks (FREE)
The historic Summercourt Fair returns in September 2026, with its annual Fair Day featuring a low-level noise fireworks display in the evening.
There will be plenty going on throughout the day, including a large funfair with more than 40 rides and attractions, stalls, food and family entertainment. The fireworks are scheduled for 9pm.

Firework Fiesta at Camel Creek Adventure Park (PAID)
Camel Creek Adventure Park is hosting its Firework Fiesta during the October half-term Pumpkin Fest, with an evening fireworks display and plenty of family entertainment.
Enjoy rides open late, live entertainment, street food and sweet treats before a dazzling fireworks display lights up the sky at around 7pm.
You can visit for the whole day, with Firework Fiesta included in your day ticket, or buy an evening-only ticket.

Illuminate the Night at Dairyland Farm World (PAID)
Illuminate the Night is a huge evening of entertainment at Dairyland Farm World, with a fireworks display alongside laser shows, funfair rides and live entertainment.
As well as the fireworks, expect fire breathers, LED robots and roaming characters, plus street food and bars throughout the evening.
The event runs from 4pm until 10pm, making this much more than just a fireworks display, with plenty going on before and after the main show.

Fireworks at Killacourt for Newquay’s Christmas Lights Switch-On (FREE)
In November, Newquay hosts its annual Christmas Lights Switch-On, which includes a FREE fireworks display at the Killacourt to round off the event.
Before the fireworks, enjoy live music, Christmas carols, and party tunes to get you in the festive spirit.
The Newquay fireworks display usually always follows the town’s Christmas light switch-on ceremony, which takes place earlier, starting at nearby Marcus Hill from 3pm.

Grand Fireworks Spectacular Display at Lappa Valley (Paid)
If you’re after a magical family experience, the Lappa Valley Steam Railway offers one of Newquay’s most beloved fireworks events.
A chance for not only a stunning fireworks display but to ride a steam train through beautiful Cornish countryside.

WAX NQY Fireworks (Paid)
This event, held at WAX Gym, boasts Newquay’s largest fireworks display. It’s now a full day of entertainment with something for everyone, from a beer festival during the day to an after-party with a DJ.
We saw these fireworks in 2022 and 2025, and it’s grown bigger every year. If you plan on going, pre-buy tickets to avoid disappointment. It’s a popular event!
Expect food vendors, funfair rides, and six different bars to choose from, as well as a huge Newquay fireworks display!
In previous years, all ticket proceeds went to nonprofit initiatives.

Sparks Fireworks Festival (Paid)
The Sparks Fireworks Festival at Hendra Holiday Park is an exciting event, offering much more than just fireworks in Newquay.
From fire performers to a neon glow experience, it’s perfect for families looking for an evening packed with entertainment.
Expect street food stalls, mulled wine, live music, and a massive fireworks display.

New Year’s Eve Fireworks 2026 at Newquay Harbour (FREE)
Every year, Newquay welcomes the New Year with a fantastic free fireworks display over the harbour.
This is one of the most popular New Year’s Eve events in town, with locals and visitors gathering to watch the midnight Newquay fireworks display. Be sure to secure a good vantage point early, as it gets busy closer to midnight.

Where To See Even More Fireworks in Newquay!
In addition to the main events mentioned above, Newquay is host to several other fireworks displays throughout the year.
For example, in September 2024, WAX Events held a Proms in the Bay at Watergate Bay, a ticketed event with live entertainment and a fireworks finale. Keep an eye on local pages and their website to see upcoming events for WAX with fireworks.
As another example, in the summer and autumn of 2025, Newquay Fun Park (at the old Dairyland site) had fireworks on many weekends. In 2026, Dairyland Farm World is hosting the Illuminate the Night event listed above on Sunday 8th November.
Lusty Glaze Beach also offers several free and paid events throughout the year, many of which feature firework displays on the beach.
Tips for Attending Newquay Fireworks

- Important: Be sure to check event websites and social media pages for updates, as dates and times can change due to weather conditions or other factors. Make sure to check for updated dates, as events can change year by year. We’ll do our best to keep this post updated annually with the latest information.
- Dress for the weather: Newquay can be chilly, especially in the evenings. Pack layers and consider waterproof clothing in case of rain.
- Arrive early: Popular fireworks displays tend to get crowded, especially free events. Arrive early to secure a good viewing spot, especially if you’re planning to watch from the beach.
- Check if you need tickets: Check the official websites to see if you need to buy tickets. Some ticketed fireworks displays do not sell tickets on the door, so you don’t want to be disappointed.
- Bring blankets and towels: Make yourself comfortable by bringing towels or picnic rugs to sit on, especially if you’re watching from the beach. And you might want a blanket to stay warm, or to wear a Dryrobe for extra cosiness during the autumn and winter months.

Historic Firework Event: Fistral Beach Bar Fireworks
North Fistral Beach used to host an annual firework event, and it was our favourite. But I never saw it advertised in 2025 so I emailed to ask when it was on, but they never replied, so I guess they aren’t hosting it anymore. I really hope they bring it back!
When it was on, you could either sit directly on the beach, which makes for an unforgettable atmosphere, or view the display from Towan Headland with the Headland Hotel making a scenic backdrop if you are in the right position.
