If you’re planning a trip to the area and searching for a fun-filled activity guaranteed to put a smile on everyone’s face, look no further than the exhilarating Cornwall Slip and Slide at Atlantic Reach Resort!
The Cornwall Slip and Slide at Atlantic Reach is a giant water slide located in Cornwall, England. It is a fun activity for all ages and is open every day throughout the summer.
Buckle up, because I’m here to share my experience in photos, a few words, and all the essential details you need to know!

No Frills, All Thrills
Nestled within the popular Atlantic Reach resort, the Cornwall Slip and Slide isn’t about fancy theming or waterpark extravagance. It’s a straightforward, single-slide experience that delivers pure nostalgic slip-and-slide joy.
The star of the show, of course, is the impressive 350-foot water slide with a thrilling descent for all ages. Choose a single ring, double ring for two or for a faster experience, pick the bodyboard!
The inflatables proved to be the most popular choice for the kids in my family, however myself and Ben had a few goes on the bodyboard sliding down headfirst and reaching the very end!
The slide is an unmissable bright orange and blue slide that you’ll likely catch a glimpse of if you drive through to Newquay passing Atlantic Reach. It opened in 2023 and has a new feature of water jet arches at the end of the slide too, helping everyone reach the end of the slide!
We went during the half-term with our two children, ages 9 years and 12 years at the time, and our daughter’s friend. All three children, and adults, had an amazing time with lots of smiles all around! It really is such a fun activity for all ages to enjoy.
Pro-Tip: During peak season, expect a bit of a queue. However, the lines move fairly quickly, and the anticipation only adds to the excitement! We were able to have more than enough turns each on the slides in our allotted hour time slot, even during the June half-term, leaving us very satisfied!

Essential Info for Visitors

The address is Atlantic Reach Resort, Newquay TR8 4LX.

A Splashing Success for the Family
The beauty of the Cornwall Slip and Slide is its inclusivity. Whether you’re a seasoned thrill-seeker or a first-time slider with a touch of caution, there’s a way to have a great time.
Even the initially apprehensive 9-year-old in my family quickly warmed up to the experience, and soon we were all having a blast racing down the slide to see who was the fastest or who could reach the end (with a healthy dose of competitive spirit, of course!).
Many online reviewers comment on how friendly and inclusive the staff are with the children, including those with additional needs, ensuring everyone has the best time.

Cornwall Slip and Slide VS Giant Slip ‘n Slide: Which is Better?
If you love this activity and are keen for more, there’s also the Giant Slip ‘n Slide a little further out of Newquay, towards Wadebridge, which we also love! What’s the difference? The Giant Slip ‘n Slide is longer, although we were never able to reach the end, and it’s slightly more expensive. They were also slacker on health and safety letting as many people pile onto the rings as possible at each user’s own risk, whereas the Cornwall Slip and Slide at Atlantic Reach had a strict max 2-person rule on the double rings.
We’ve been to both slides and honestly had a great time and both of them, so neither is better or worse in my opinion, and we’d visit either of them again. In fact, we plan to when we have family and friends visit us over the summer!

Beyond the Slide: Resort Activities
While the slide is the main attraction, the Atlantic Reach Resort itself offers a variety of other activities, like laser tag (which my son did for his birthday with a bunch of friends and had an absolute blast), swimming pools, segway experiences, crazy golf and more. These are perfect options for families with older children looking to extend the fun.
If you’re planning a longer stay, consider exploring the surrounding area.
