The Saints Trail Perranporth to Goonhavern is a great option for families looking for a scenic and easy-going bike ride while staying in the area in Cornwall.

As we live in nearby Newquay, we have visited the trail a few times since it opened in April 2023, for both walking and cycling with our kids.

BEST things to do in and around Mevagissey

If you’re in Cornwall or planning a visit then Mevagissey has to be on the ‘must visit’ list. This humble little harbour town located on the south coast of Cornwall is a truly lovely place with plenty going on for visitors throughout most of the year.

Mevagissey is a famous and popular Cornish town because of its outstanding picturesque setting and historic harbour. Many people come to Mevagissey every year to explore the fishing town and take in the breathtaking scenery.

Tehidy Country Park – A free family day out in Cornwall

It was a cold autumn day when we decided to visit Tehidy Country Park, located just 10 minutes from Camborne and 5 minutes from Portreath on the north coast of Cornwall. We didn’t know fully what to expect but I’m happy to say it turned into the most amazing day out for us and our two children. The most exciting part of the day was experiencing the friendly nature of the local squirrel population. Sadly there weren’t any red squirrels but there was a vast range of other wildlife to enjoy as we walked around the country park.

Seal Spotting in Cornwall in Winter (Godrevy and Porth Joke)

I didn’t even realise until a few years back that there are seals in the sea in the UK! I guess I’d never seen one before whenever I was on holiday and so I never thought about it. When we went on holiday to Brixham in Devon I saw a seal in the sea for the first time and I was amazed!

Since then we stumbled upon Mutton Cove when exploring the north coast of Cornwall on a holiday last year before we moved to Cornwall. We were amazed to see a few seals on the beach in the summer as I documented in this Instagram post in July 2021:
