TBC: Fistral Beach Bar Fireworks (FREE )

For a truly memorable evening, head to North Fistral Beach for their event, where the fireworks are free and the beach setting is spectacular!

We’ve attended this event twice so far, and each time, it has been an amazing experience.

You can either sit directly on the beach, which makes for an unforgettable atmosphere, or view the display from Towan Headland with the Headland Hotel making a scenic backdrop if you are in the right position.

For a more relaxed evening, book a window seat at The Stable, enjoy some pizza and cider, and watch the fireworks as the waves crash in the background—it’s a unique way to experience the display.

Tip: Check their social media pages for updates in case of coastal weather changes.

Date: 2025 TBC – Hopefully this event will take place this year… I’ve emailed to ask as there’s no information online yet… fingers crossed!

Where To See Even More Fireworks in Newquay

In addition to the main events mentioned above, Newquay is host to several other fireworks displays throughout the year.

For example, in September 2024, WAX Events held a Proms in the Bay at Watergate Bay, a ticketed event with live entertainment and a fireworks finale. Keep an eye on local pages and their website to see upcoming events for WAX with fireworks.

Lusty Glaze Beach also offers several free and paid events throughout the year, many of which feature firework displays on the beach.

And at Newquay Fun Park (where Dairyland used to be), they have been hosting fireworks events in the summer and autumn of 2025:

Tips for Attending Newquay Fireworks

Newquay’s firework displays offer a variety of experiences, from free beachside shows to larger, ticketed events, offering a memorable experience for both locals and visitors. No matter the time of year, there’s always something spectacular to look forward to.

By following the tips below, you can make the most of your Newquay fireworks adventure and create lasting memories in this beautiful seaside town.

  • Important: Be sure to check event websites and social media pages for updates, as dates and times can change due to weather conditions or other factors. Make sure to check for updated dates, as events can change year by year. We’ll do our best to keep this post updated annually with the latest information.
  • Dress for the weather: Newquay can be chilly, especially in the evenings. Pack layers and consider waterproof clothing in case of rain.
  • Arrive early: Popular fireworks displays tend to get crowded, especially free events. Arrive early to secure a good viewing spot, especially if you’re planning to watch from the beach.
  • Check if you need tickets: Check the official websites to see if you need to buy tickets. Some ticketed fireworks displays do not sell tickets on the door, so you don’t want to be disappointed.
  • Bring blankets and towels: Make yourself comfortable by bringing towels or picnic rugs to sit on, especially if you’re watching from the beach. And you might want a blanket to stay warm, or to wear a Dryrobe for extra cosiness during the autumn and winter months.
  • Pack snacks and drinks: While many events have food and drink vendors, it’s always a good idea to bring your own snacks and drinks to save money and avoid long queues. A hot flask of cocoa is a good idea!
  • Check for parking restrictions: Be aware of parking restrictions in the area, especially around popular fireworks display locations. Look for designated parking areas or consider using public transportation.
