What to Expect at Body Bounce: A Bountiful Playground for Kids!

Body Bounce Newquay features a selection of colourful and vibrant bouncy castles that cater to children aged 2 to 13. With a wide variety of inflatable structures, including a giant 300-foot obstacle course, several large slides, and a smaller obstacle course designed for toddlers, there’s plenty of entertainment to keep kids of all ages busy.

The park offers two daily sessions, one in the morning (11:00 AM – 1:30 PM) and another in the afternoon (2:00 PM – 4:30 PM). With just one entry price per session, children can stay and play as long as they like, making it excellent value for money.

We’ve been several times and our kids always beg to go back! It’s a fantastic place to let them burn off energy while you relax and soak up the Cornish sunshine.

There’s even a Cornwall-themed crazy golf course on-site if you need even more activities to keep the kids entertained while you’re visiting.

Why Body Bounce Newquay is a Hit with Locals and Tourists

For us local families, Body Bounce is a go-to destination during the spring and summer months. It’s an excellent way for kids to burn off energy, and the relaxed atmosphere makes it perfect for a leisurely afternoon.

Holidaymakers also find it an ideal activity, offering a chance to let the kids have some fun while enjoying the picturesque surroundings of Newquay.

The staff are always friendly and engaging with the children, there’s music pumping over the speakers, overall it’s an enjoyable place on a warm and dry day to let the kids run wild and the parents relax a little!

The large grassy seating area in the middle of the park is great for parents to sprawl out and chill (or sunbathe if the weather allows) while the kids run loose on the bouncy castles. It’s also perfect for setting up a picnic. There are picnic benches available and also plenty of grass to sit on – just bring your picnic rug and chairs if you need them!

Bringing a rug, drinks, and snacks is a great idea, and you can even pack a full picnic to enjoy while the kids play. If you prefer, there’s a shop on-site where you can purchase refreshments, including ice lollies, soft drinks, and snacks, as well as the wristbands for entry and socks if your kids want them or aren’t already wearing socks (they are required for all children on the bouncy castles).

Across the road is a small Tesco store too, so there’s plenty of choice for refreshments while visiting Body Bounce.

Practical Information for Your Visit to Body Bounce

Location: Body Bounce is situated in the picturesque Barrowfields, Newquay, offering stunning views of the coastline.

Fun Fact! Did you know the Barrowfields in Newquay is a protected historical site? It’s an ancient cemetery! There are three burial mounds, known as barrows, which you can see across the fields and even walk over!

The Body Bounce address is The Barrowfields, Narrowcliff, Newquay TR7 2RZ.

Opening Times: Check the Body Bounce website for the latest opening times as these can vary depending on the season. This is a seasonal location.  At the time of writing, in the summer holidays of 2024, they offer two daily sessions of 11AM-1.30PM or 2PM-4.30PM.

The official Body Bounce website for the most up-to-date information is body-bounce.co.uk or you can visit their Facebook page. It’s worth checking, especially if the weather is rainy or windy as they may not open.

Food and Drink: We recommend bringing a picnic and enjoying the large grassy seating area. There’s plenty of space to spread out a blanket and relax while the kids play.  For ice-creams, visit the Body Bounce kiosk for a large selection.  They also sell hot and cold drinks.

Toilets: The park does not have toilets on-site, so you’ll need to use the nearest facilities at Tolcarne Beach. These include paid toilets (50p, payable by contactless card) at the top of the beach on the edge of the Barrowfields, or free public toilets in the Tolcarne Beach Village complex close to the beach accessible via steps or a slope.

More to Explore: After your session at Body Bounce, why not take some time to explore the surrounding Barrowfields area? The views over Newquay Bay, towards Watergate Bay, and even out to Trevose Lighthouse are breathtaking. A walk around the edge of the Barrowfields is a perfect way to soak in the Cornish landscape and round off your visit.

Personal Experience: A Local’s Perspective

As locals, we love Body Bounce for its convenience and affordability. It’s the perfect place to spend a few hours when the beach isn’t calling. We have visited Body Bounce multiple times and the children are always keen to return.  It’s a great place to take our family and friends who have children when they visit us, and it’s an ideal activity for our kids and their school friends for play dates too.

The bouncy castles occasionally change, keeping the experience fresh and exciting. During our recent visits in August 2024, the kids enjoyed a variety of inflatables, including the large obstacle course and three mega slides. They were buzzing with excitement and energy throughout the session, and while they were exhausted afterwards, they were already asking when we could return! My son said he wanted to come back every single day!!
