An early start is recommended to really appreciate this amazing floating market, where you can buy a range of souvenirs and taste some of the best boat food that Thailand has to offer. There are many floating markets in and around Bangkok, where there is an extensive network of canals that run through the city, and if you would like to visit floating markets that are not on the tourist trail, a tour operator is the best option, plus they can handle all the travel arrangements and even give you a local English-speaking guide to look after you for the duration of the trip. You may already be aware that English is not widely spoken, especially in non-tourist areas, so getting around could be a problem, and getting lost is a real possibility.
